NEW YORK - Sept. 8 2022, /PRNewswire/- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States who visited Israel during the months of July and August. Israel received 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a four% rise over 2019, and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This represents an increase of 13% over 2019.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to see a new increase in tourism Israel from the United States. Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number of the year 2019," he stated. "The United States is our most important market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we saw record-breaking numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel every month. We are so happy to witness such a positive shift, and we anticipate it to continue for many months and years."
Just like the United States, Canada is also on track to surpass its tourism numbers in Israel by 7,200 tourists in July 2022 , and 6000 in August.

Israel hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019, of which 969,600 were from the United States. Since May, when the country reopened to all travelers regardless of vaccination status More than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
